MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — On the 21st of April, an Aeromexico Boeing 787 Dreamliner was severely damaged during a scheduled domestic flight (Flight AM-179) from Tijuana International Airport, photos on a social media account revealed.

The damage is said to occur because of a hail storm. It's not clear at which stage of the flight the incident happened, but the B787-8 with registration N966AM managed to land safely at the Mexico International Airport.

The eight-year-old Dreamliner, which was leased from the Irish lessor AerCap, has currently been grounded at Mexico City International.
