FRANKFURT, GERMANY — Lufthansa Group Carsten Spohr said on Thursday that his company was open to all options on a equity stake in Italy's new flag carrier ITA Airways. 

"All options are open," he told reporters when asked whether Lufthansa envisaged taking an equity stake. Lufthansa would be an ideal partner in Alitalia's successor,

Spohr added.

Lufthansa has teamed up with tthe world's largest shipping company MSC Group to acquire a stake in ITA Airways. Earlier in March, a consortium established by Air France - KLM Group and Delta Airlines Inc. have also also announced their interest in the majority stake of the new European carrier.

The Italian government will reveal of the detais tender after June for potential stake holders of the scaled successor of Bankrupt Alitalia.
