French Passenger's breathing trouble causes emergency landing of Vietnam Airlines flight in Dubai.

A Vietnam Airlines flight en route from London to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) was forced to make an unscheduled stop at Dubai airport due to a medical emergency involving a French passenger. The individual, a 36-year-old, began to experience severe breathing difficulties roughly seven hours into the VN560 flight, which departed London around 5 p.m. local time.

Despite immediate medical assistance from a doctor on board, the passenger's condition failed to stabilize, prompting the crew to liaise with Vietnam Airlines' operation center. A decision was made to carry out an emergency landing at Dubai airport, which occurred approximately at 9 a.m. local time.

Once on the ground, the passenger was promptly transported to a local hospital, where their condition has since been reported as stable.

Following the incident and a refueling stop, the VN50 flight resumed its course to HCMC. The unplanned diversion resulted in the aircraft's arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport being delayed by around five hours.
