VALETTA, MALTA — A Lufthansa flight from Malta to Frankfurt experienced a delay of approximately three hours on Saturday morning following a collision with a runway vehicle.

Newsbook.com.mt has learned that the incident occurred around 5:30 am. Although the collision was minor, it kept the LH1313 flight from Malta to Frankfurt from taking off at its originally scheduled time of 6:20 am.

The delay was required to conduct necessary checks on the aircraft to ensure no damage was inflicted that could compromise its airworthiness.

After these checks, no concerns were identified, and the aircraft was finally airborne a bit past 9:30 am.
