TOULOUSE, FRANCE — Airbus has kicked off the new year with a bang, securing net orders for 36 single-aisle aircraft in January. Uzbekistan Airways placed an order for a dozen A320neo-family jets, while Delta Air Lines ordered a dozen A220-300s.

Additionally, Airbus announced a deal with an unnamed customer for six A321neos and six A320neos.

Airbus ended January on a high note, with a single A320neo order from Middle Eastern lessor DAE Capital. The airframer did not receive any firm orders for long-haul aircraft types during the month.

Airbus's deliveries in January consisted of 20 aircraft, including 18 single-aisle jets, as well as an A350-900 for Starlux Airlines and an A330-900 for Virgin Atlantic. Both of these widebody aircraft were delivered through US lessor Air Lease.
