DUBLIN, IRELAND — Dublin-based aircraft leasing company Voyager Aviation Holdings acquired its first Airbus A220-300 jet. The aircraft will operate under the colors of US carrier Breeze Airways on a long-term lease agreement.

The A220 is the first of five new A220 jets to be delivered to Breeze Airways as part of a sale and leaseback agreement between the two companies.

The performance and fuel efficiency of this A220 aircraft is a key component to the Breeze business strategy. We look forward to the airline's future growth and success. We're thrilled to begin our partnership with Voyager Aviation with the first of five new A220s, with the sale/leaseback program,"

said David Neeleman, Founder, and CEO of Breeze Airways.

It is VAH's first A220 delivered from Airbus' US Manufacturing Site. The A220 is an aircraft built for the 100-150 seat market and brings together state-of-the-art aerodynamics, advanced materials, and Pratt & Whitney's latest-generation geared turbofan engines. The A220 delivers up to 25% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions per seat compared to previous generation aircraft in the same class and 50% lower NOx emissions than industry standards. In addition, the aircraft noise footprint is reduced by 50% compared to previous generation aircraft - making the A220 a good neighbor around airports.
