BRUSSELS, BELGIUM — On April 4, European airframer Airbus reconfirmed its production target for its state-of-the-art A350XWB widebody jetliner.

“We have always said that the recovery of the market is foreseen between 2023 and 2025 and will be led by (single-aisle) followed by (wide-body). This has not changed,”

a spokesperson said in an emailed statement to the Reuters news agency.

According to the statement, Airbus aims to increase its A350 production rate from 5 per month to 6 in early 2023.

Airbus' production increase plan for A350 family jets was first cited by Chief Executive Guillaume Faury during a meeting with industry analysts in February.
