MOSCOW, RUSSIA (TASS) — Russian civil aviation regulator body has extended the ban on civilian flights in the south of Russia until March 26.


The airspace in Russia’s south was closed on February 24 due to the ongoing military operations against Ukraine. Later the restriction was extended until March 20. The Federal Air Transport Agency recommended airlines to use alternative routes through the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol, and Moscow to transport passengers to closed airports.
