TOULOUSE, FRANCE —  The first Airbus A350 XWB of Italy's new flag carrier ITA Airways has appeared in the carrier's corporate livery.

ITA's A350-900 widebody jetliner has been seen with the carrier’s blue fuselage and Italian flag-themed fin at the European planemaker's Toulouse plant in France.

The new carrier had previously announced that it would add some leased A350s as part of its initial fleet. Kuwaiti ALAFCO is expected to be one of the suppliers.

ITA Airways has 28 aircraft on order directly from Airbus, including 10 A330-900s plus 18 single-aisle jets.

ITA also signed lease agreements with the US lessor Air Lease Corporation for 31 jets, including A330-900s.
