HELSINKI, FINLANDFinnair has announced that it was looking for alternative routes for its flights to Japan, Korea, and China due to the closure of Russian airspace.

The carrier has canceled flights to these countries until 6 March 2022, and canceled all flights to Russia until 28 May 2022.

Flights to China and Korea are expected to start from the end of this week, once the re-routing has been finalized.

The Finnish national airline continues to fly from Helsinki to Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, and Delhi and from Stockholm Arlanda to Phuket. Finnair bypasses Russian airspace on these routes which lengthens the flight time by approximately one hour.
