Alaska's startup carrier Aleutian Airways takes delivery of a Saab 2000 aircraft

ANCHORAGE, ALASKAAlaska's new regional carrier Aleutian Airways took delivery of one Saab 2000 turboprop from Miami-based US lessor Jetstream Aviation Capital.



The aircraft is the first of a multi-aircraft commitment between Jetstream and Aleutian Airways and will serve on the airline's routes within the State of Alaska.

Aleutian Airways is a joint venture between long-time regional aviation investor Wexford Capital LP of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Greenwich, Connecticut; Juneau, Alaska-based Alaska Seaplanes, McKinley Alaska Private Investment, and LLC of Anchorage Alaska.

Aleutian Airways expects to begin operations from Anchorage in the second quarter of 2022. The first
