PARIS, FRANCEThe Fench startup Flying Green is planning to launch operations from Paris Orly Airport in the second quarter of 2023 with an initial fleet of three Airbus A320neos.


The carrier expects to obtain its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in 2022. Although the company did not reveal the routes that it will serve, the initial focus of the new airline will be medium-haul routes.

Flying Green wants to position itself as an environmentally friendly carrier. It has committed to using 5% of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) as well as several other initiatives aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. It said its business plan had been developed together with Airbus.
