RIGA, LATVIALatvian airline airBaltic announces that it has concluded a partnership agreement with Latvian Olympic Committee, and will provide support to Latvian athletes traveling to and from international events.


“Like airBaltic, professional Latvian athletes are carrying our country’s name far beyond its borders. We are proud to partner with Latvian Olympic Committee, and support Latvian athletes on their way to the 2022 Winter Olympics,” said Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic.

Our athletes now have a unique opportunity to do it in stadiums and arenas in various cities across the planet, by airBaltic providing a high-level service to them. We are doing it with pride,” said Žoržs Tikmers, President of the Latvian Olympic Committee.

In honor of the partnership, airBaltic has adjusted the livery of the aircraft painted in the motives of the Latvian flag. It now includes the logo of the Latvian Olympic Committee and the name Latvija on its tail and belly.
