SAO PAULOBrazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has signed an agreement for 30 firm E195-E2s with an undisclosed customer. The contract is valued at USD2.2 billion at the current list price.

There is continued demand for efficient, emissions-friendly, economical right-sized aircraft as airlines around the world adjust their fleets and rebuild their networks. As highlighted in our 2020 Market Outlook, carriers are aligning their capacity requirements. This is due to weaker demand, changes to the business/leisure mix, the impact of international border travel restrictions, and t
he need for greener airplanes.

The E2s are ideally suited for the new operating environment.

The 30 new E195-E2s will be included in the planemaker's second-quarter backlog.
