SHYMKENTThe Kazakh regional operator SCAT Airlines announced plans to acquire up to 20 Boeing aircraft by 2030, according to the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.



The airline plans to develop a hub at Shymkent Airport, where the terminal and other construction works are due to be complete in 2021 and operational in early 2022. The carrier intends to expand domestic and international services and resume operations to countries including Turkey, Georgia, the UAE, Belarus, Russia, and Mongolia.
