Polar expects to take delivery of its first Dash 8 in early September. The aircraft will go into service alongside the airline's older generation Antonov An-24s and An-26s.

The second aircraft is expected to join the airline's fleet at the end of the year. The carrier intends to acquire three more Dash 8-300s by 2024. Polar also signed for three of the new Ilyushin Il-114-300, an upgraded version of the Il-114, which is still performing a certification campaign under the supervision of the Russian aviation regulator Rosaviatsiya.
