NAIROBI — Kenya Airways, via its official Twitter account, stated that it operated a cargo-only service from Amsterdam with a Boeing 787-8 aircraft on 16-Jan-2021.
Group MD and CEO Allan Kilavuka said the carrier will operate two 787s with seats removed for cargo services, increasing capacity by 10 tonnes per aircraft (Nation Media Group, 18-Jan-2021). One aircraft has completed modifications and is awaiting regulatory approval before redeployment. Mr. Kilavuka said modification of the second aircraft "should be done in the next one month or so".
