BELGRADESerbia’s national airline Air Serbia will be introducing two weekly flights to Geneva, starting 1 March 2021. Geneva is Air Serbia’s second destination in Switzerland, along with Zurich, and the plan is to operate two weekly flights on this route, on Mondays and Fridays.

Geneva was announced as one of the six new destinations last year, but this plan was temporarily abandoned due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are carefully monitoring all the changes in travel restrictions and demand, trying to act quickly and seize all the opportunities that open up on the market. In July, we already launched a new destination – Oslo, which proved to be an excellent business decision as the Norwegian capital is currently one of Air Serbia’s top five destinations. Additionally, establishing a codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines resulted in the introduction of daily flights to Istanbul, which have excellent passenger load factor that reaches more than 80%” said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.

Monday flights will provide good connectivity from Geneva to other destinations in the Serbian airline’s network scheduled in the midday, such as Athens, Istanbul, Larnaca, Moscow, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Tirana and Tivat.
