HO CHI MINHThe Vietnamese leisure operator Vietravel Airlines received its first aircraft, an Airbus A321-200, which arrived at Ho Chi Minh International Airport on Dec. 4.
The six-year-old A321 with registration VN-A278 (MSN 6376) is an ex-Thomas Cook Airlines narrowbody jet (OE-IDP).

Vietravel Airlines is expecting to obtain its AOC (Air Operator Certificate) from the Vietnamese regulator by year-end.

The airline will take delivery of a second aircraft this week and the third by the end of December. Vietravel Airlines is planning to launch its services on domestic routes this month.

Vietravel is planning to operate more than 80 flights per week connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Hanoi with popular tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang Cam Ranh, and Phu Quoc.#
