ST. PETERSBURGRussian regional operator Smartavia Airlines plans to renew its fleet with Airbus A320neo jets in 2021 and increase its capacity to 3 million passengers per year. 
The airline currently operates three Boeing 737-500 that will be replaced by three Airbus A320neo jets in 2021.

"The company's development strategy assumes an increase in passenger traffic in the post-pandemic period and we have to be ready for this," said Sergei Savostin, CEO of Smartavia. 

In addition to three Boeing 737-500s, the airline's fleet includes three Boeing 737 -700, and six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.#
