MIRABELBombardier's very last CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) aircraft leaves the final assembly line before joining the fleet of its operator Delta Air Lines. The aircraft is currently waiting for its engines for test flights.

It is the 1945th CRJ jet produced by the Canadian aircraft manufacturer and the last one under the CRJ brand.

In June 2020, Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries bought the CRJ jet program to boost the development of its long-awaited regional aircraft SpaceJet. The company will drop the production of CRJ jets in favor of the SpaceJet.

The Japanese manufacturer will only produce spare parts for the CRJ operators across the globe.
