NEW YORK — The Aeroflot flight that had departed from Moscow landed at JFK airport at around 3.50 pm EST. The aircraft had to apply emergency evacuation procedures on arrival due to a bomb threat.
According to the officials, there were 250 passengers on board.
“Due to an ongoing incident, emergency personnel and activity may be observed at #JFK airport,”
the airport account tweeted on Sunday.

It added that the airport was still “fully open and flights are operating without delays”.

Once the passengers had been evacuated, police swept the aircraft for any potential explosives but found nothing onboard.

Authorities said the investigation was still ongoing.#
