KUWAIT - Kuwaiti aircraft leasing company ALAFCO has pushed back the deliveries of some Airbus aircraft due to the severe downturn in customer demand in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
The company has 75 A320neo jets on order from Airbus. 33 of them already joined in the Kuwaiti lessor's fleet. It will take delivery of 10 A321neos more as planned before.

The company said that it agreed with the European planemaker to receive its remaining orders in the next three years to 2024 and beyond.

ALAFCO has not revealed further details on the new delivery plan, referring to confidentiality issues and the risk of “negative impact” on its competitive position in the aircraft leasing sector.

The lessor had also dropped orders for 20 Boeing 737 MAX jets.
