Athens, Grece - The world’s largest cargo plane An-225 landed at Athene International Airport last week on Wednesday (May 13).

The Soviet-made An-225 Mriya has a cabin length of 84 meters and can carry 16 containers, 80 passenger cars, and even an entire Boeing 737 aircraft.

The aircraft is currently operated by the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer and service provider Antonov  Design Bureau.  The Soviet-era aircraft made its first flight in 1988.

These days, the main task of the aircraft to carry medical supplies to the west from China that will be used in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
