Lahore, Pakistan - Pakistan's regional airline operator Air Falcon has taken delivery of its first aircraft.

It's an Ex-Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300 Freighter. The aircraft was leased from the Irish lessor Rostrum Leasing. A second aircraft of the same type will join the airline's fleet next month.

"We are excited to receive our first freighter aircraft from Rostrum Leasing for induction in Air Falcon,"

Mian Nabeel Ashraf, Air Falcon's managing director, and chief executive said in a statement.

"Two more freighters will join the fleet soon to complete the fleet of three freighters in Phase one of our business plan. These B737-300/400Fs will provide service to our domestic and regional clients."

Ashraf added that Air Falcon would launch passenger services during Phase two of the company's business plan. A fleet of up to five ATR72-500s will be acquired towards the end of 2020.
