Sao Paulo, Brazil - Brazilian airline operator Azul Linhas AĆ©reas Brasileiras postpones the delivery of 59 Embraer 195-E2 aircraft.

The Brazilian carrier has said that it agreed with the Brazilian planemaker on delays. The order is valued at USD4,4 billion.

Azul was supposed to take delivery of the 59 E2 series aircraft would between 2020 and 2023, but according to the new plan, the deliveries will start in 2024 or later.

The South American company has four E195-E2 in service and 71 on order.

Azul is the largest airline in Brazil in terms of the number of flights and destinations flown. The fleet of the Brazilian carrier currently consists of 140 aircraft, including narrowbody and widebody jets from Airbus, some turboprops from ATR, and regional jets from Embraer.
