Greensboro, North Carolina, US - The American charter specialist iAero Airways (previously Swift Air) has taken delivery of its first Passenger to Freighter (P2F) Boeing 737-800F converted by Israeli aerospace firm Israel Aerospace Industries.

N916SC (MSN 30498) is the first Boeing 737-800(BDSF) to be delivered by the Israeli engineering specialist after it received its supplemental type certificate earlier this month. The former Transaero Airlines aircraft was ferried from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion via Shannon to Greensboro for April 8-9, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. iAero Airways is due to take its second Boeing 737-800F from IAI in May.

Both aircraft will operate on behalf of DHL Express. Formerly known as Swift Air, iAero Airways has so far operated only a single dedicated freighter, a Boeing 737-300F. It also operates a passenger fleet of eight Boeing 737-300s, 20 Boeing 737-400s, and five Boeing 737-800s.

Besides IAI, Boeing and AEI (Aeronautical Engineers, Inc.) also have supplemental type certificates for their own Boeing 737-800 P2F-conversion processes.
