Beijing, China - State-run Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC has delivered the 24th ARJ21 regional jet. This is the first aircraft delivery since the Chinese planemaker relaunched production following outbreak.

The aircraft with registration B-604F was delivered to Chengdu Airlines through Chinese lessor ICBC Financial Leasing. The jet is also the first to be completely assembled at COMAC’s Shanghai Pudong factory.

COMAC opened a second ARJ21 production line at Pudong in March this year to ramp up the production. The Pudong line has the capacity to roll out up to 30 aircraft a year.

COMAC suspended production in February amid the pandemic, which originated in the country. There are about 330 ARJ21 aircraft in the manufacturer's backlog waiting to be delivered over time.
